Ami posted Anthrohare abilites so that's all good, but on top of that I was wanting to possibly be a Jedi. xD

...Or maybe an Elite SAS Operative Sniper...

OHH OHH!! MAYBE A DRAGON RIDER!! F*** YEAH MAGICAL PROWESS!!

Guys, we do however need to stick to a semi-beliveable world. Jedi and mages obiously don't belong in the same world.

Bamb, from what I have I have read while flicking through the monster manual, the chances of a living dragon rider are probably very low, due to Dragons being s-holes and probably eating their riders.

In the world of Alagaesia, (Inheritence cycle), Riders tame a dragon if the dragon chooses to be bonded to that person with magic. That'll be a reason for my dragon riding if I can't be a Jedi, I just want something interesting is all, and that's a good explanation no?

We'll have a proper look at the 4th ed rules on Friday. Personally I think all homebrew content must fit into the world, and as DM I have final say. If you want to play games that feature things like jedi you probably want a special dungon that utilises only futuristic homebrew classes.

As for the dragon thing, I have a black dragon peice which is the most powerful monster in my arsenal, therefor a character having the same power is going to severly shift the difficulty of my dungon, making it far too easy. And as Pudding said, dragons are nasty little buggers.

~Is very sad~

Well just because there would be 2 dragons doesn't mean it wouldn't be possible... right?

I don't see any other classes I like, and heres a plus: I saw on the 4e classes bit on the D&D site that was a link here, that Jedi and Dragon Rider are acceptable classes. Very Happy

That site advocates homebrew though.
Its all up to what campain you're playing. I was planning on writing my own, and it would be in a traditional DnD style of high fantasy, akin to Tolkien type storytelling.
Basically, as long as it fits in with the campaign and isn't overpowered, it should be okay.
If you want to play other styles see if anyone is interested in your version on the discussion forums and set up some game on the events forums. Smile

Erm, as long as there are enough rules to cover homebrew content I don't seeb why we shouldn't use it.
Could be a case to case basis - we don't want a shinigami who has a "kill all" spell or something overpowered like that XD
Alright thanks for the clarification. As far as I can tell the rules I've found SHOULD work fine without being horrendously under / over powered but I'l leave that up to you guys to judge and work out something to use as a backup if it doesn't fit in =p

Could you give me a link to the homebrew page and I'll take a look?

Can do
dandwiki.com/wiki/Pixie_(4e_Race)
dandwiki.com/wiki/Witch_(4e_Class)
They seem ok but I'm not exactly up to standard on the rules and the like so it'd probably be best if you guys who know what you're doing took a look =p

Me having a dragon would even out my stats as an Anthrohare on race no?

I am weak, but fast and have good senses.

A dragon is strong, but doesn't have great speed.

I really really would like to be a Dragon rider Ami, but if I can't then I'll go for a Cleric. And my weapon will be a single two-handed weapon, (Buster sword obviously. ^^)

Look, I'm sorry, but a dragon is overpowered.
A cleric uses a single handed blunt weapon normally, like a mace or a morningstar. The only way your getting a sword is to have the martial weapon proficiency feat or a race that favours swords and bows (like elves) who get this automatically. I play a cleric myself, but double weild shordswords due to martial weapon proficiency.
Sorry to destory your ideas, but characters have to be created logically and by the rules.

Pixie looks good to me, kindof like a combination of elf and halfling, so it certainly fits with the campagin. Doesn't look too overpowered either. Smile

A witch would need to be carefully created to avoid it being OPed (overpowered) but it could be done. Do remeber that if you play a witch you'll have to rp a religious nut Razz

So could I be my Cleric Bunny self if I adhered to the rules of logic and went with 2 short swords, because that would be badass too.

Just looked over some more classes, could my Anthrobunny me be a Arcane Sword? I really have no clue as to how it wouldn't be possible but you're the expert.

Or possibly a Longshot, (does your dungeon allow firearms, even or flintlock type?), if so, I might go with this as any race with a good dexterity can be one.

Gunpowder style firearms works. Smile
I'm going to catch me flight in a bit, so I don't really have time to look over arcane sword, but it sounds like a legitimate class.
You can only duel wield shortswords as a race with martial weapon proficiency. You could go single hand however, with weapon proficiency as a feat.

Sword mage is the equivelent of Arcane sword, but I am sure we could let you be a ranger with a flintlock.

Well, is there anything that means I can have a heavy weapon and use magic? If not then I'll go for an honourable Assassin, that would suit my race of AnthroRabbit because of dexterity.

I heard from Alec that as long as it's on the homebrew, it's a usable class. So I would like the Magic Swordsman thing, (Possibly an Arcane Warrior?)

AND I just found SOLDIER Class, (FF7), which has access to all types of blade and can be any race! Instead of magic, they build ether which will eventually give them access to Limit Breaks. I might just be that.

I may be wrong but I think Alec is jumping the gun there with "anything on there is useable" aside from the fact that some of those classes on that list are just obvious silly things ("Hero of time" springs to mind) theres also the issue of it fitting the setting and not being horrificly overpowered. And as was mentioned early "useable" might not necesarily fit into the setting very well or the like, that said those two seem fine imo as long as rules could be found for em.

Oh cool, well I'm kinda stuck between being:

SOLDIER
Jumper
Mage Knight/Arcane Sword/Mystic Blade (All pretty much the same thing.)
Scout (A sniper)
Pistolier

Likewise, there's plenty of official classes in the books, and one to suit anybody. Remember that each class has sort of specialisations, too.

Anyone got an idea of which campaign setting we'll be playing in?

As for character class, I don't feel the need to make anything homebrew. Anything I'd want in a character is easily covered by a bard/druid hybrid.

and a Bard/druid hybrid sounds awesome! ... I'm gonna go for like an Elf Rogue or something lol
